I specialize in orthopedic physical therapy focusing on hypermobility and dysautonomia. I am trained in manual therapy, dry needling, and hold advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation. I work in the University of Utah orthopedic center as well as see patients at the Imaging and Neurosciences Center for same day PT appointments when patients have a visit with the autonomic neurologist. EDS Healthcare in Utah
Utah does not have an EDS Society Center of Excellence or dedicated EDS program. The University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City has a genetics department that can evaluate connective tissue disorders. Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora is the nearest Center of Excellence, about 8 hours by car. Intermountain Healthcare may have providers with EDS experience.
Salt Lake City patients have access to University of Utah Health's genetics services, but the nearest dedicated EDS program in Colorado requires significant travel. Southern Utah and rural areas are extremely isolated from specialist care. Telehealth is important for connecting with out-of-state EDS specialists.
Finding Physical Therapy for EDS
When choosing a PT for EDS, ask whether they have experience with hypermobility and use stabilization-first protocols rather than standard stretching routines.
