The Iowa Clinic - Ankeny
About
Based in Ankeny, Iowa, this physical therapy practice focuses on pelvic floor dysfunction. Physical Therapy is about meeting people where they are at and helping them meet their individual goal, which is one of the reasons Katie decided to pursue the field. She chose to specialize in pelvic health because she gets to help people of all genders and abilities to understand their bodies better and empower them to regain control over their lives. Currently Katie is seeing patients only for pelvic health concerns including urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, rehab after abdominal or pelvic surgery/radiation, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, and pregnancy/postpartum pain and dysfunction. Outside of work, Katie enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, reading, cooking with her partner, and taking her cat on walks. If she were not a provider, she might have been a florist or a gardener, because she loves spending time outside and has always enjoyed plants and smelling flowers.
EDS Healthcare in Iowa

Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota are the nearest Centers of Excellence, depending on your location in the state.
Iowa's rural landscape means many patients are hours from major medical centers. Western Iowa patients may be closer to Children's Mercy in Kansas City, while northern Iowa patients may find Mayo Clinic Rochester more accessible. Telehealth can help with follow-up care after an initial evaluation.
Finding Physical Therapy for EDS
When choosing a PT for EDS, ask whether they have experience with hypermobility and use stabilization-first protocols rather than standard stretching routines.
