Sarah takes a holistic and individualized approach to care, addressing the whole person rather than just their diagnosis. She specializes in working with individuals with connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Diseases, autoimmune disorders, performing artists, and patients with chronic pain and myofascial pain syndromes. Her background also includes sports medicine, injury prevention, and optimizing movement for people across all life stages. She is a Certified Dry Needling Practitioner through Myopain Seminars, has provided guest lectures on Cupping and Myofascial Decompression, and is a STOTT Pilates trained rehabilitation practitioner. Sarah integrates manual therapy, movement retraining, nervous system regulation, and patient education to empower her clients in achieving resilient, sustainable health.

EDS Healthcare in Georgia

Emory University Hospital's Division of Medical Genetics in Atlanta is the primary in-state resource for EDS evaluation. Georgia does not have an EDS Society Center of Excellence; the nearest is Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in Florida. Limited specialized EDS programs mean many Georgia patients travel to Florida or other states for comprehensive care.

Outside the Atlanta metro area, EDS specialist access drops significantly. South Georgia patients may find it easier to travel to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville than to Atlanta. Rural areas throughout the state have very limited access to providers experienced with EDS.

Finding Physical Therapy for EDS

When choosing a PT for EDS, ask whether they have experience with hypermobility and use stabilization-first protocols rather than standard stretching routines.
