I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with youth and adults. I consider myself an “eclectic” provider and use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach. I am EMDRIA certified, and use DBT, CBT, Play & Art Therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques. My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. Bethesda Physiocare in Bethesda, Maryland is an EDS Society Center of Excellence and is just minutes from D.C. The NIH Clinical Center's Undiagnosed Diseases Program in Bethesda evaluates complex connective tissue cases. Johns Hopkins in Baltimore is home to Dr. Howard Levy, a recognized EDS authority, and the McKusick-Nathans Department of Genetic Medicine.
D.C. residents have relatively strong access to EDS specialists compared to most areas, though wait times at major programs like Johns Hopkins and NIH can be lengthy.
