Integrative Strength & Movement

About

My practice is focused on helping those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Syndrome learn to gain strength by focusing on posture, movement patterns, and awareness through a strategic and thoughtful process. I can help you learn how to build sustainable strength and manage good and bad days while consistently exercising and moving. Additionally, I offer nutritional coaching, which can help you to shift your dietary habits in order to manage inflammation, get enough nutrition, and work around sensitivities that have real consequences for your body. I believe that in order to make progress, it is necessary to recognize the starting point. Then, learn new patterns and build a solid foundation in movement, nutrition, and health. I have found that a personalized approach works best for my clients, building a program that recognizes each individual’s needs and preferences. I offer one-on-one training to help each individual find their working range and build towards their goals. Additionally, I offer online strength programming via an app that allows you to exercise when it fits into your schedule and works for your body. For my clients with EDS and Hypermobility, consistent strength and stability training is incredibly helpful. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out!

EDS Healthcare in New Jersey

New Jersey has no in-state EDS Center of Excellence. Mount Sinai South Nassau Chiari EDS Center in Oceanside, New York is the nearest Center of Excellence for northern New Jersey patients. The NYIT EDS/Hypermobility Treatment Center is also accessible from northern New Jersey. Southern New Jersey patients can access CHOP and Penn State Health's EDS Program in Pennsylvania.

New Jersey's location is actually an advantage — most residents are within 1-2 hours of multiple EDS programs in New York and Pennsylvania. The main challenge is navigating out-of-state insurance coverage and choosing among the available programs. Central New Jersey patients have access to both New York and Philadelphia options.

Finding Movement / Exercise for EDS

Look for instructors with specific hypermobility training who modify exercises to build strength within safe joint range rather than pushing flexibility.
