About
Now Accepting New Clients – Ages 8+ Hi! I’m currently welcoming new clients and do not have a waitlist at this time. I specialize in working with Neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism, and those navigating acute suicidal ideation. As a Neurodivergent person myself, I bring lived understanding, authenticity, and compassion into the therapy space. Clients have described me as open and deeply nonjudgmental. I create a space where you are free to take up room, express your truths, and be fully heard. I offer both Telehealth and in-person sessions for individuals seeking support. My clinical focus is on Autism and ADHD , including the wide range of co-occurring mental health conditions that often accompany these neurodevelopmental differences. I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients who live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and other complex medical conditions, recognizing the unique challenges they face at the intersection of physical health and mental wellness. My approach is affirming, individualized, and grounded in a deep understanding of neurodiversity and disability (person-centered).
EDS Healthcare in Iowa
Iowa has no EDS Society Center of Excellence. The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City has a genetics department that can evaluate connective tissue disorders. Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota are the nearest Centers of Excellence, depending on your location in the state.
Iowa's rural landscape means many patients are hours from major medical centers. Western Iowa patients may be closer to Children's Mercy in Kansas City, while northern Iowa patients may find Mayo Clinic Rochester more accessible. Telehealth can help with follow-up care after an initial evaluation.
Finding Mental Health for EDS
Look for a therapist who has worked with chronic illness patients and understands that EDS-related anxiety and depression often have physical triggers, not just psychological ones.
