Garner Pelvic Health
About
Our mission is to make sure you receive the highest quality orthopedic and pelvic health care possible, and for us that means scientifically grounded holistic care that uses Functional, Integrative, and Lifestyle Medicine so we can look for the root cause, not just treat symptoms. We have virtual group classes, telehealth, and individual sessions. We spend a full hour with each patient, 1 on 1. We do not use techs or aides, our doctors of physical therapy spend all their time with 1 patient at a time. We do not multitask or juggle multiple patients per session. We also have state of the art musculoskeletal and lumbopelvic rehab ultrasound imaging (RUSI) which help us to build prescriptive programs that are highly individualized. RUSI removes guesswork and reduces overall treatment time. Our therapists are all trained and certified in Integrative & Lifestyle Medicine, medical therapeutic yoga, functional medicine, dry needling, visceral mobilization, manual therapy, pelvic health, orthopaedics, and RUSI.
EDS Healthcare in New Jersey
New Jersey has no in-state EDS Center of Excellence. Mount Sinai South Nassau Chiari EDS Center in Oceanside, New York is the nearest Center of Excellence for northern New Jersey patients. The NYIT EDS/Hypermobility Treatment Center is also accessible from northern New Jersey. Southern New Jersey patients can access CHOP and Penn State Health's EDS Program in Pennsylvania.
New Jersey's location is actually an advantage — most residents are within 1-2 hours of multiple EDS programs in New York and Pennsylvania. The main challenge is navigating out-of-state insurance coverage and choosing among the available programs. Central New Jersey patients have access to both New York and Philadelphia options.
Finding Physical Therapy for EDS
When choosing a PT for EDS, ask whether they have experience with hypermobility and use stabilization-first protocols rather than standard stretching routines.
