About

Hi, I’m Morgan Roberts, MS, RDN, LDN, a New York City based Registered Dietitian (RD). Originally from North Carolina, I moved to New York City to complete my education as a registered dietitian. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Wofford College and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University. I completed my dietetic internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and continued working at Mount Sinai Hospital as an inpatient dietitian. While working as an inpatient dietitian, I became proficient in tube feeding management while overseeing patients on the Intermediate ICU floor. I then worked as a lead dietitian at another private practice before founding my own private practice, Crave Nutrition. I also have advanced training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and stay up to date on research to know how to best support my patients. I acted as the lead dietitian for the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Chronic Care Management Clinic at Capital Digestive Care where I provided long-term comprehensive IBD medical nutritional therapy for my patients. I specialize in gastrointestinal health and conditions (IBD, IBS, celiac disease, SIBO, and stubborn GI symptoms), fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition, supporting those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), general healthy eating, and more. As someone who personally lives with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), I also bring a unique level of understanding and compassion to my practice, allowing me to better support and guide patients facing similar experiences. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I would love to work together!

EDS Healthcare in California

Casa Colina Hospital in Pomona and Re+active Therapy in El Segundo are both EDS Society Centers of Excellence. Stanford has a Cardiovascular Connective Tissue Disorders Program, UC Davis runs a Connective Tissue Clinic, and UCSF offers Medical Genetics services. Children's Hospital Los Angeles has a Pediatric Bone Disorders Program, and Dao Integrated Health in San Francisco provides EDS-focused treatment.

Despite California's strong urban specialist density, patients in the Central Valley, northern rural areas, and inland regions face long travel times to reach EDS-knowledgeable providers. Wait times at major programs can be 3-6 months or longer. Medi-Cal covers genetic testing with medical necessity, but navigating the referral process can be time-consuming.

Finding Nutrition / Dietetics for EDS

Ask whether the dietitian has experience with the EDS-related conditions that affect eating, including gastroparesis, MCAS food triggers, and SIBO.
