About
Bodycraft is a massage therapy offering by and for the queer, neurodivergent, and hypermobile. As an LMT with hEDS, I understand the unique complexities of working with hypermobile bodies and tailor my work to meet every client exactly where they’re at. I practice in-home massage in Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County, and I have a studio in Doylestown, PA. My work brings together techniques from myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and Thai and Swedish massage to craft relaxing, rejuvenating, therapeutic massages that address the root causes of pain and tension in the body. My first-hand and clinical knowledge of EDS allows me to offer my clients bodywork that is comfortable, safe, and rooted in understanding.
EDS Healthcare in Illinois
Illinois lacks an EDS Society Center of Excellence and has no dedicated multi-specialty EDS program despite Chicago's large medical community. Individual providers such as Dr. Matthew Mandell in internal medicine see EDS patients, but there is no coordinated EDS center. Indiana University Health's EDS & HSD Clinic in Indianapolis, about 3 hours from Chicago, is the nearest Center of Excellence.
Chicago's status as an "EDS physician desert" means that even patients in the state's largest metro area struggle to find experienced EDS care. Downstate Illinois faces even greater challenges with very few providers familiar with EDS. Many patients travel to Indianapolis, which adds time and expense.
