Fortuna Physical Therapy
As a long-time mindfulness practitioner, meditation devotee, and lifelong learner, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physical Therapy to investigate mindfulness-based movement, resilience, and pain modulation through novel therapeutic approaches integrated with measurable physical therapy outcomes. My research focuses on chronic pain conditions, including hypermobility spectrum disorders, hEDS, and fibromyalgia. Clinically, my work spans connective tissue disorders (including hEDS and related hypermobility syndromes), craniocervical instability and cervicalgia, neurological and complex pain conditions, pelvic health, and multifactorial orthopedic presentations. I believe deeply in treating the whole person by integrating physical, neurological, and psychosocial dimensions to optimize outcomes. My therapeutic approach incorporates Pilates-based rehabilitation, breathwork and autonomic regulation, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and postural restoration, select osteopathic techniques (including craniosacral, visceral, and counterstrain methods), cognitive multisensory rehabilitation, lymphatic drainage, and other specialized body awareness training. I currently provide private clinical care in New York and Minneapolis.

We teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. We examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Our focus is to work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
