Sheldrake Pilates and Movement
I offer private Pilates equipment lessons at my studio as well as online group and private classes for hypermobile humans. I focus on creating a sense of safety and support in the body using breathing techniques and hypermobile-appropriate exercises for strength, stability and proprioception. I believe it’s important to consider the whole person when teaching exercises – the mental and emotional systems are just as critical as the physical movements. My Pilates training was in contemporary methods (Stott and Balanced Body) and I have worked with my clients’ physical therapists as needed. I have completed Jeannie Di Bon’s Integrated Movement Method training and have many years of experience working with hypermobile bodies, including my own.

New Ground Physical Therapy
At New Ground Physical Therapy, we take a whole-body approach to treating chronic pain, joint instability, and movement dysfunction—especially in those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and generalized hypermobility. Our care goes beyond symptom management. Using Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) principles, we assess how your body’s alignment, breathing, and neuromuscular patterns interact to create either stress or stability. By improving areas of hypomobility and enhancing proprioceptive control, we can help reduce excessive strain on hypermobile joints. Each session is one-on-one and fully individualized to help you build strength, improve body awareness, and restore balanced movement patterns that last. Our goal is to help you move with less pain, better stability, and greater confidence in your daily life.

Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy in Camas is an outpatient orthopedic clinic with focus on Pelvic floor, TMD, breathing, persistent pain, and hypermobility. We focused on whole person healthcare and do not treat any condition in isolation. Proper breathing and its influence on overall health and well-being is incorporated in all that we do.
