As an EDS patient herself, she understands the difficulties in finding care providers who understand, the medical gaslighting that many EDS patients experience and the unique challenges patients face in managing symptoms. She is gentle and kind, and extremely empathetic in her approach to care. Donna has found patients who are treated regularly and frequently in their own environments respond to treatment faster and better than when they come to her office. Any potential apprehension about receiving acupuncture is greatly decreased when the patient can remain in a familiar environment. This also eliminates the time and energy challenges encountered when a patient receives multiple therapies and has several appointments each month. Decreasing these stressors better enables patients to respond to care more effectively. Donna recognizes the lack of medical research and development of treatment options for EDS patients and is passionate about delivering compassionate, gentle care, addressing the unique needs of people in all stages of life.
