Sound Mind Counseling

About
At Sound Mind Counseling, we specialize in providing neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed mental health care to adults navigating complex life experiences, including those living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and related connective tissue disorders. Our practice is led by Elizabeth Thompson, M.Ed., LPCA, NCC, a late-diagnosed AuDHD counselor currently pursing a Doctor of Education in Neurodiversity. Elizabeth brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work, offering a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with chronic health conditions. We recognize that living with EDS often involves navigating medical trauma, misdiagnoses, and the emotional toll of chronic pain and disability. Our approach is grounded in empathy, validation, and a commitment to empowering clients to manage daily stressors, heal from past experiences, and build a more peaceful, fulfilling life.
