The Mount Sinai South Nassau Chiari EDS Program in Oceanside, New York, is a designated Ehlers-Danlos Society Center of Excellence and one of only two in New York State. The program provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Chiari malformation, and related connective-tissue and cervicomedullary conditions, drawing on a multidisciplinary team spanning neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology. More than 15,000 patients have been evaluated through the program, making it a useful referral point for complex EDS cases involving potential craniocervical instability or overlapping neurological symptoms.
