Marta Long MD, Inc

About
Dr. Long offers consultations for patients who suspect they have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and require an initial diagnosis or a comprehensive evaluation of their symptoms. The EDS-focused consultation does not obligate you to join the house call based concierge primary care practice and includes an optional one-time follow-up to review results. As the evaluation and subsequent report may take several hours, the consultation may not be fully covered by insurance. However, we will bill your insurance as a courtesy for potential reimbursement. Many patients find this consultation beneficial in guiding them toward concrete next steps. For those who opt for concierge primary care and incorporate Dr. Long’s holistic approach, chronic pain and fatigue may resolve within 6-12 months. The comprehensive EDS evaluation includes: Diagnosis Assessment of the musculoskeletal system, including chronic pain and fatigue Evaluation of gastrointestinal, neurological, and psychiatric disorders Dr. Long also offers EDS consultations for children with hypermobility (minimum age of 2) but does not provide primary care to pediatric patients. Out-of-state patients will need to travel to California for an office visit. Patients living outside Orange County will be seen in the office, while those within Orange County have the option of a house call. Due to the complexity of the treatment plan, we recommend that patients involve a family member or trusted partner to assist with its execution, especially when “brain fog” and “attention deficits” are present.
