Lowenstein Chiropractic Center

About
Dr. Tessa Lowenstein works at Lowenstein Chiropractic Center with her father, Dr. Marc Lowenstein. This family practice has been established in Colorado Springs since 1981. Both Dr. Tessa and Dr. Marc work with many patients who have a range of connective tissue and hypermobility disorders. The doc, a graduate of Cleveland University – Kansas City with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, has studied the human body and the mechanics of healthy motion from a young age. She believes that the primary goal of healthcare should be taking a conservative, non-invasive approach. She is committed to empowering her patients through education, genuine care, and teamwork between doctor and patient. She helps patients with Ehlers-Danlos by using gentle, low-force instrument adjusting techniques (Neuromechanical Impulse and Activator). Dr. Tessa and Dr. Marc utilize these techniques to mobilize the joint segment or ribs in a highly specific direction, as opposed to a largely unneeded global motion increase expected among the average patient. This method is standard for Lowenstein Chiropractic among their hypermobile/suspected EDS/diagnosed EDS chiropractic patients, and has worked well for many by allowing the specific areas of dysfunction to return to their proper positions without excess movement of the soft tissue structures. We are a safe space for all, and are competent in our care of trans individuals and their unique healthcare needs. We don’t body shame, and we will listen. Give us a call to learn more about the practice, and how we can help.
