Dr. Tina Guerrero, DAC, BS, DC, MS Doctorate in Acupuncture Bachelor of Science in Human Biology Doctorate in Chiropractic Master of Science in Nutrition Dr. Tina Guerrero, DAc, BS, DC, MS has studied the healing and martial arts since the late ’80’s. She is continually advancing her training in the health field. She has completed specialized training in Acupuncture, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Nutrition, Chiropractic Pediatrics, Herbology, and Detoxification. As a Chiropractor, I specialize in a variety of techniques, to fit your specific needs. My area of Chiropractic specialty is SOT. SOT – Sacro Occipital Technique, is designed to reduce or eliminate pain or disorders in the cranium, spine, TMJ, head, neck, back and pelvis, and extremities (toes, foot, ankle, knee, and hip as well as fingers, hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulders) and in specific cases it may improve organ function. With Acupuncture I studied Tibetan/Chinese style utilizing pulse and tongue diagnosis along with muscle testing. In Acupuncture there are energy pathways. Energy constantly flows up and down these pathways. When pathways become obstructed, deficient, excessive, or just unbalanced, Yin and Yang are said to be thrown out of balance. This causes illness. Acupuncture is said to restore the balance. We work with people on special diets, utilize bloodwork evaluations, 7-day food diaries, individual and group nutritional plans to help people understand the complexities of nutrition. We guide people on the information and misinformation that is often so prolific online. Identify cravings and how these are affecting our bodies. How it signals underlying health issues, deficiencies and how to correct them. Exploring supplements—pros and cons. How to make sure what you are taking is a functional nutrient vs a synthetic nutrient that your body cannot utilize.
