Elizabeth D Caughey DDS PC
About
How the teeth fit together plays a major role in how the body can support itself. At Caughey DDS, every patient’s body alignment is taken into consideration before any definitive dentistry is accomplished. With children, we look at the development of the bite and oral cavity with respect to any compensations coming from the neck and visual fields – and our goal is to provide the stabilization and redirection necessary to reduce compensation and thereby provide for more symmetrical growth. With adults, we seek to create balance between the dependency on the bite for neck decompression with TMJ support. With all our patients whose compensations show up in the head and neck, referral to body workers is strongly considered.
