Before beginning her clinical career, Dr. Oren built a strong foundation in research and public health by contributing to major studies through UCLA, the World Health Organization (WHO), RAND, and the VA. Her work spanned behavioral health, health services, cancer prevention, and global health reflecting a deep commitment to advancing human well-being. These formative experiences continue to inform her clinical and consulting work through the integration of scientifically supported treatments, compassion, and a systems-level understanding of the complex interplay between physical and emotional health. Dr. Oren earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System. Following her internship, Dr. Oren served for nearly a decade as a staff psychologist at the Reno VA, earning advanced VA-certified specializations in insomnia, chronic pain, trauma, nightmares, tinnitus, and relationship skills. She worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated, whole-person care approaches. She led a successful multidisciplinary insomnia treatment program and co-developed an interdisciplinary tinnitus management program. Her work emphasized accessible, effective care while building systems that integrated diverse professional expertise to deliver holistic, coordinated, and sustainable support. In addition to her clinical and consulting work, Dr. Oren is actively involved in community mental health education and advocacy. She serves as a Board Member for the Nevada PAW Society, a nonprofit supporting the mental health of veterinary professionals across Nevada. She also collaborates with local organizations through outreach, consultation, and education to reduce stigma and improve access to effective psychological care.
