About
No one cares how much you know…until they know how much you care! We Care! Dr. Bloxham understands from his own experience the impact of chronic pain on quality of life and overall physical and mental health. During his years as a local general dentist, Dr. Bloxham was loved and appreciated by his staff and patients for his honest, caring demeanor and his pleasant sense of humor, which made patients feel welcome and at ease. In 2015, following multiple neck surgeries, he was forced to retire from general dentistry due to his own chronic pain issues. As a devoted lifelong learner, Dr. Bloxham took this as an opportunity to utilize and expand upon his past education in order to help make a difference for other chronic pain sufferers. He subsequently completed an additional three years of specialty post-doctoral training with the University of Southern California in their Master’s of Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine program. Having a daughter with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and caring for many patients who share this condition, Dr. Bloxham has gained a deep understanding of how EDS contributes to chronic pain and related conditions. This personal and professional insight has strengthened his passion for helping patients manage complex pain disorders and improve their quality of life. Dr. Bloxham’s clinical focus is on the treatment and management of orofacial pain conditions, including musculoskeletal pain (TMD/TMJ, myofascial pain), atypical tooth pain, trigeminal nerve disorders, and neurovascular and neuropathic pain. He also specializes in managing chronic headache and migraine conditions, recognizing their close connection to TMJ and cervical dysfunction. In addition, he treats oral medicine disorders such as Burning Mouth Syndrome and autoimmune conditions that affect the mouth. He is highly trained and experienced in the fabrication of TMJ orthotics, dental sleep appliances for the management of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, Botox injections for migraines and orofacial pain conditions, intra-articular injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks. Dr. Bloxham is a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP), the American Headache Society (AHS), the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Washington State Dental Association, and the Benton-Franklin Dental Society. Dr. Bloxham loves living in the Tri-Cities area. He and his wife Marianne are proud to call it home and have been blessed to raise their family here. They enjoy playing on the river in the summer and exploring various outdoor activities throughout the year. They love spending time with their four children and their pack of dogs.
