About
Dr. Christina Sandman is a clinical psychologist who specializes in mindfulness-based (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy) psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, grief, emotion dysregulation, and coping with chronic health conditions (EDS, POTS, autoimmune disorders). She provides compassionate and effective therapy to adults in person in Pasadena or virtually throughout California. Using a personalized and empathetic approach, she helps people find relief from overwhelming emotions, greater self-acceptance, and a stronger connection to what is truly meaningful in life. She values providing LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive care. She obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Health Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she trained in evidence-based therapy and conducted research in the UCLA anxiety and Depression Research Center. She completed postdoctoral fellowship in a group private practice, The Clinic of California, where she gained additional expertise in chronic health conditions, medical invalidation, and trauma.
