Christina Sandman, Ph.D.
Dr. Christina Sandman is a clinical psychologist who specializes in mindfulness-based (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy) psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, grief, emotion dysregulation, and coping with chronic health conditions (EDS, POTS, autoimmune disorders). She provides compassionate and effective therapy to adults in person in Pasadena or virtually throughout California. Using a personalized and empathetic approach, she helps people find relief from overwhelming emotions, greater self-acceptance, and a stronger connection to what is truly meaningful in life. She values providing LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive care. I am a massage therapist with 3 years of experience working on and educating clients with hEDS/HSD and their comorbid conditions such as POTS, Autism, ADHD, MCAS, and a variety of other nerve and chronic pain disorders. I also work with geriatric and pregnant clients. Most of my specialization comes from hands-on experience and independent research. Clients report feeling comfortable and safe in our sessions, and generally claim to experience tension and pain relief for days-weeks after.
