Is changing your life in the midst of contending with chronic illness feeling impossible? Perhaps you haven’t been believed by doctors. Perhaps you are exploring the intersection of the mind and body, of neurodiversity and EDS, and you’re looking for a therapist who understands. I’m ready to do the hard work with you: to face your fears, build a life that is sustainable, improve your relationships, collaborate with medical doctors to improve your physical health, and bring back parts of yourself that you miss, your je ne sais quoi. I am here, as your grounded guide, to help navigate you through exciting, terrifying, and bold life changes, with the parallel tectonic global upheaval under our feet. I will be radically present with you in your deepest hopes and fears. You may feel lonely, misunderstood, and lost, even though people in your life perceive you to be “put together.” It can be deeply overwhelming and also courageous to build a life that you know, deep down, you deserve. One where you can unmask, tap into your creative potential, recover from burnout, and be liberated to share your unique voice with the world. Having me beside you will help you stay steady and purposeful through radical, never-ending change. I believe in the power of community, and will help you build an honest, loving, supportive community. I help clients build more sustainable, joyful lives. Clients are grateful to have done the work to build strong relationships, exciting careers, and thriving creative pursuits. I will help you feel energized as you get in alignment with your inner wisdom. The voice inside of you that has been trying to guide you, but you haven’t had the tenacity to follow. The wise part of you that will accompany you for the rest of your life. As a neurodivergent person who specializes in working with neurodivergent folks (AuDHD, ADHD, autism, misdiagnosed folks, late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed), I am here to help you process the intricacies of your experience. Some of the topics I cover with neurodiverse clients are helping to foster special interest joy, exploring unmasking, empathizing with the unique struggles that come from your neurodivergence, tailoring your daily life to your sensory needs, or exploring the biases and judgements from people, society, and the environment working against you. I approach my own healing journey as it intersects with being as a therapist as: if I am willing to do the work, gain the skills, and have the courage to show up authentically in the world for myself, I gain the knowledge (intellectual, intuitive, and embodied) to guide you to do the same. Through my diverse experience in the mental health field, I have learned what helps clients grow as well as what holds clients back. I now practice neurodiversity-affirming therapy, an approach that transcends pathologies. In my practice as a therapist, I do not consider the psychology of any of my clients as “disordered”, “sick”, or “broken.” I believe this is the most effective way to approach mental health in our modern world. I believe in the importance of developing our personal philosophy, or the beliefs that influence our behavior, emotions, and thoughts. In my personal and professional journey, I explore existential crises, relationships, communication, neurodiversity, queerness, politics, liberation, authenticity, consciousness, giftedness, creativity, trauma, spirituality, purpose, holistic wellness, and the mind-body connection. I am happy to explore any or all of these topics with you. I personally navigate and help clients find a path to sustainable physical and mental health. I have built a network of like-minded practitioners for the mind and body that do their best to listen to clients, believe clients, and seek creative solutions to address their struggles. I find joy and purpose in my job. I am passionate about integrating my path as an artist (former opera singer and photographer, ceramic artist, singer/songwriter, and writer) with my path as a therapist. I am proud to provide telehealth in the United States in both the state of Wisconsin and Illinois. I am excited to explore all the facets of you. Reach out. I am happy to help.
