TMJology
Denver, CO · Dental / TMJ / Orofacial
Hello! I am a licensed massage therapist with specialized training in TMJ and intra oral massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofunctional therapy, and a former dental assistant. My private practice, TMJology, is located in Denver, Colorado. My focus is TMJ and neuromuscular disorders. With my unique background, I have created a practice that incorporates massage as well as TMJ and jaw neuromuscular movement therapy. My goal is to help you learn about the why to your TMJ pain. I hear so often from my patients that they have been experiencing TMJ pain for years but they don’t know why. Together we will work to uncover your why and find the proper treatment. I know the importance of needing to know how you ended up in your current situation. Eleven years ago, my life changed in an instant. I was rear-ended by a car going 45 mph while I was at a complete stop. The impact left me with an anteriorly dislocated disc in my right jaw joint, causing a persistent clicking sound every time I opened my mouth. At first, it was just the clicking, but over time, the symptoms snowballed. Headaches, my jaw pulling to one side when I opened, discomfort with jaw movement, pain after long periods of talking. Like many, I was told to “just live with it.” That there was nothing that could be done. And for a long time, I believed that. I learned to “manage” my symptoms the best I could until I realized that I didn’t have to. You don’t have to just deal with it. I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from my own experience and dedicated my career to helping others find real relief. I’m here to listen, guide you toward solutions that actually help, and support you in living a life free of TMJ pain. It’s not all in your head! You don’t have to just “deal” with your symptoms. I am here to listen, find solutions and help you live a pain free life. While I am located in Colorado, I offer virtual programs so I can help patients from all over the world! I also offer training to practitioners who want to incorporate manual therapy into their practice to better treat their patients. I’m looking forward to working together!

Rolfing Resilience
Denver, CO · Massage / Bodywork
Within the scope of Structural Integration, my therapeutic approach is to do no harm and consider the individual needs of my clients. I use gentle manipulation methods to avoid overstretching and to allow for calm nervous system response. When working with clients who have EDS, we focus more on fascial toning and proprioceptive re-education with a focus on stability, not mobility. Certified Rolfers are known for the Rolfing 10 Series®, a progressive, cumulative approach to addressing the entirety of the body’s fascial system. I recommend a single session to start, and together we can decide on an appropriate course of treatment.

Rolfing Resilience
Denver, CO · Massage / Bodywork
I have been Rolfing for 10 years, currently working towards my Advanced certification. I have had many clients with EDS who have benefitted from my work and recommended I join this site. Rolfing is the pioneering work with fascia, which is more of a philosophy than an exact method or protocol. Understanding that fascia is what holds the body together and must be worked with as a whole system, I apply deep tissue bodywork, as well as movement and awareness exercises to address chronic pain, with an emphasis on holding compassionate space for my clients to gain more understanding of their bodies. Often this can include assignments to be completed between sessions such as strengthening or awareness exercises. In my practice, I find the few super tight places that are doing all the work of holding you together, and work to distribute that strain across more of your musculature by waking up dormant muscles, so that your system has more ease and sustainability. I have been teaching meditation for 15 years, so this can be a resource in sessions as well. I also practice Sourcepoint energy work, which is great for those with more severe EDS who need a lighter touch.

Everything I do is built off an initial assessment that will be repeated regularly to assess progress and to ensure your programming is up to date. Together we will work to create a program that is tailored specifically to your goals and needs. There is no one size fits all when it comes to health and wellness. The human body is a system of dynamic subsystems that integrate into extreme complexity and what works for one person might not work for another. Context is key. I specialize in biomechanics and integrating mobility principles into strength training. I also have a special interest in helping individuals who are hypermobile and/or diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome learn how to strengthen, stabilize, and create a resilient body to combat risk of injury and pain so that they can live a limitless life inside and outside the gym. I am passionate about holding space for the body’s wisdom to come through. I trust that given the right space, time, support, and permission, our bodies know how to heal and repair. Somatic work involves healing through leveraging the wisdom of the body (the soma) where our most deeply engrained subconscious behaviors and beliefs are stored. Our work together, we will explore the language of your body by diving into inner explorations that involve your body, mind, and soul so that you can better understand yourself and find powerful ways to create change internally and externally. As a trauma-informed practitioner, I empower your intuition and honor your body’s natural pacing in order to support your lasting change.
