I’m a licensed physical therapist and board-certified orthopedic specialist with a passion for helping people with hypermobility maximize their movement potential. My career has been dedicated to creating safe, supportive environments for pediatric and adult patients with hypermobility, beginning with a specialized rotation at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and continuing as I built a hypermobility specialty in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. In 2021, I founded Electric Edge Physical Therapy, a practice focused on treating individuals across the hypermobility spectrum. Whether I’m helping patients manage chronic pain that interferes with daily life, addressing acute joint subluxations and dislocations, or developing safe strength training routines, I’m committed to supporting each patient’s unique journey. I also specialize in treating hypermobile dancers, combining my expertise in joint hypermobility with my deep understanding of the physical demands of dance. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in treating complex patients of all kinds. As someone who has hEDS myself, I offer a different level of understanding, empathy and experience given that I too live in this body. I’ve had countless dislocations and subluxations, muscle tears, POTS, chronic migraine, major GI issues and surgerys, you name it. As the owner of Fight Back Performance and Recovery, I made it my mission to help the patients who continue to fall through the cracks. Our reputation is that if you haven’t gotten better with other physical therapists/physicians, we will identify the root cause and we will finally make progress. Figuring out the puzzle is my favorite part of my job! At Fight Back we see a much higher percentage of hypermobile patients than a typical clinic because many specialists around Charlotte know of my diagnosis. There will be no gaslighting here. We offer the most comprehensive care possible, one-on-one appointments and only doctors of physical therapy. Every PT is certified to dry needle, we have vasopneumatic compression for the days when the barometric pressure has your blood pressure in the tank, we can treat your migraine with needling while it’s happening. I grew up “bendy,” doing party tricks for my friends. It wasn’t until I dislocated my tibia + patella while half-marathon training in 2015 that I even knew what hypermobility was. In 2018 while in PTA school, I was used as the hypermobility dummy. About 5 years later, I’d be diagnosed with hEDS. I treat a wide-range of orthopedic conditions, from low back pain to shoulder replacements to migraines. I’ve been treating EDS / HSD patients since 2021, and they are by far my favorite patient population. I understand the chronic pain + flares, but I’m here to educate + help you get stronger to become your best zebra self! Ask for initial evaluation to be with any of our PTs.
