Dr. Suzanne Semanson, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist, board certified orthopedic specialist and registered & certified yoga teacher in New York City. She provides one-on-one physical therapy services and individualized yoga instruction at her private practice located in downtown Manhattan. She also specializes in dance medicine as she has provided physical therapy services to dancers in New York City using a combination of osteopathic manual therapy techniques, Pilates-based and yoga-informed therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education to help her clients return to the life they love. She has also served as faculty in Columbia University’s programs in physical therapy. In the 15+ years she has worked in New York City as a dance medicine specialist, she has also deepened her knowledge in the areas of HSD & hEDS in order to better serve this often under-diagnosed and under-supported population. As a result, she receives referrals from physicians at NYC’s top institutions to provide physical therapy services and private yoga instruction to these individuals.
